Consultative Workshop on Developing an Effective Referral Strategy

On 5 June an in-person workshop was held to develop a referral Strategy for the ICBC Project to utilize opportunities across the related government sectors. The workshop aimed to garner cross-sector consultation and recommendations for ways forward, where representatives from various government agencies including Ministry of Women and Children Affairs (MoWCA), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Social Welfare, Bangladesh Swimming Federation, Jatiyo Protibondhi Unnoyon Foundation, National Curriculum and Textbook Board, Directorate General of Family Planning, and participants from non-government agencies attended. Several high government dignitaries graced the event, with Honorable secretary of Ministry of Women and Children Affairs Md. Hasanuzzaman Kollol as the chief guest. The recommendations and insights collected from the event are invaluable in carrying the referral strategy forward, and a draft referral strategy was developed. This draft was later finalized after a follow-up consultative workshop held on November 20, 2023. See some of the highlights from the workshop below:
